Zara's disability struck when she was just 5 years old. From that point forward, she had never experienced the privilege of attending school until the Debbie Kauna Foundation discovered her. We provided for all her academic requirements, including a hand-powered tricycle to facilitate her transportation to and from school. Presently, she is a student at Bornoma Islamic College, conveniently located just a short distance from her home.

Hello, I'm Esther Emmanuel from Cameroon, and I've been through quite a journey. Due to insurgency in my home country, I had to flee to Nigeria. On top of that, I'm a polio survivor, which has added its own set of challenges to my life In my 32 years on earth, I have struggled in my hair dressing, and cobbler business due to lack of funds to expand but my story took a positive turn when I got a grant from Debbie Kauna foundation and support from Women Peace and Humanitarian fund (WPHF) ) and UN Women. The support I've received from these incredible organizations, has been life-changing Not only has my business expanded, but I also now have access to loans that enable me to foster its growth and provide for my family. I am profoundly grateful to the Debbie Kauna Foundation, as well as the support from the Women Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) and UN Women, for their pivotal role in shaping my journey towards success.
