“Building Bridges for Peace: Debbie Kauna Foundation’s Journey with Peace Architecture Dialogue (PAD)”

 

Debbie Kauna Foundation has been a member of Peace Architecture Dialogue (PAD) since 2021.
As a Member DKF has contributed to the mitigation of Conflict over natural resources between farmers and herders community (COMITAS).

Project is Funded by European Union, IOM Search for Common Grounds and Mercy Corps.

• Led advocacy initiatives to key stake holders in Adamawa State in addressing violent conflict and effective response to early warning signs emanating from communities in Adamawa State.

• Support community Peace Dialogues across 10 communities through the development and implementation of Actionable Plans

• Working closely with Government Stakeholders on policy engagement that addresses the needs of persons with Disabilities.

• Provide support to local Government Stakeholders in the identification and effective response to early warning signs across the Local Government.

• During our years with PAD we have come to understand the nature of the farmers herders conflicts and how to mitigate them knowing the Root causes of conflicts, identifying early warning signs and the common ground Approach in mitigation them.
